As a Mechinal Engineer at Zijtveld, you will ensure that production runs smoothly and everyone in the production process has the correct information. You create 3D CAD models and convert them into detailed designs. You will discuss the assignment with the customer and implement the developed products in the ERP system. Of course, you will also check whether this information flows through the system correctly.

As a mechanical engineer, you will receive an attractive (fixed) salary, depending on knowledge and experience. Preferably we offer a 40 hour contract, but 32 hours is negotiable, for a definite or indefinite period of time. Furthermore, we offer:

What you will do.
The engineer will ensure that on the shop floor production will run smoothly by providing production staff with the right information in a timely manner. Your duties will consist of:
- Creating 3D CAD models and converting them to detailed designs.
- Discussing design choices with the customer and providing the approval drawing.
- Recognize complex situations and discuss them within the department and with your supervisor.
- Delivering the necessary documents regarding the production and archiving them.
- Create manuals, exploded views and technical datasheets of the products to be sold.
- Implement developed products in the ERP system, with the corresponding data including materials, production times, suppliers and work instructions.
- Verify and test that information passes through the system properly and is entered correctly.
Who are we looking for.
In general, you will be working in a team. It is important that you can work accurately and independently. In addition, you are able to work structured and accurately.
As an engineer at Zijtveld, you have:
- A completed HBO (higher professional education) degree in mechanical engineering.
- Thorough knowledge of the Microsoft office environment and tools.
- Some experience with SolidWorks or comparable software.
- Experience with ERP software is an advantage (Ridder ECI).
- Proficiency in the English language.
